Fend off would-be trouble makers with a "home security system"

A few months ago, someone slashed a tire on my husband's truck while it was in our driveway. Yesterday, apparently someone "egged" our neighbor's three cars in their driveway! You may not believe me, but we do live in a very nice neighborhood, but you just never know...

My husband pushed me after the slashed tire to get a swcurity system for the exterior of the house, but that's very pricey. In browsing at them, I came across this and thought it was a great idea - a fake surveillance camera that looks so real that it may actually do the trick to detract would-be troublemakers.

The price is certainly right....I'd love to hear from anyone who has this or something similar...

Okay, I'm not sure that this qualifies as a "gadget" but I have to list it here because it is really, really cool!
