Fend off would-be trouble makers with a "home security system"

A few months ago, someone slashed a tire on my husband's truck while it was in our driveway.  Yesterday, apparently someone "egged" our neighbor's three cars in their driveway!  You may not believe me, but we do live in a very nice neighborhood, but you just never know...

My husband pushed me after the slashed tire to get a swcurity system for the exterior of the house, but that's very pricey.  In browsing at them, I came across this and thought it was a great idea - a fake surveillance camera that looks so real that it may actually do the trick to detract would-be troublemakers.

The price is certainly right....I'd love to hear from anyone who has this or something similar...

Airblown Inflatable Widescreen Deluxe Outdoor Movie Screen - 12'Okay, I'm not sure that this qualifies as a "gadget" but I have to list it here because it is really, really cool!  Have you ever thought about how nice it would be to sit in your backyard and watch a movie?  Well now you can turn your backyard into a drive-in - or a "sit-in" - with a giant inflatable movie screen!  You'll be the hit of the neighborhood with one of these.  You can buy just the screen, or a whole kit that contains, the screen, projector, DVD player, speakers and all and the price is very reasonable for what you get.  When it's not in use, just let out the air and store it away.

If you're renovating your yard, or looking to add to your backyard's atmosphere - or looking for a great Father's Day gift! - check this out.  Click on the picture to learn more about it. You can also find more information and examples here: Inflatable Movie Screens.

Roll-Top Laptop - A Look Into the Future

Someone sent this to my email recently - it's the future of laptop technology, a roll-top laptop!  This it too cool, I just had to post it here - check it out:

If it's ever actually created I'm sure it will cost a fortune - but I'll take one!  Unfortunately, by the time this is on the market, I'll probably be too old to care - but I could be wrong.

Look Ma, No Hands Video Recoding!

How cool would it be to record video of what you're seeing while biking, skiing, rock climbing - whatever!  These video recording sunglasses by Lorex not only record video, but they are hip-looking, not "geeky"!  The lenses are polarized and anti-glare and the overall look lends itself easily to men or women.

They have a built in memory that stores about 5 hours of video that easily transfers to your PC or elsewhere with a micro-SD.  Start recoding with the touch of a button and record full color and audio.

I'm sure my husband would love to have one of these to record himself flying his radio controlled airplanes or even when he goes fishing - oooh! - what a great Father's Day gift idea!
